How to apply golf physics to add more distance to your swing
Presented by: Les Ross - Director of Golf at Highlander LLC School of Golf and author of "Breaking the Distance Barrier" Time : 45 minutes Level : All Players Description: This seminar covers Step 4. of the 5 step series outlined in "Breaking the Distance Barrier". During this seminar we cover the simple "Physics of Golf" to understand where and how power is generated in the swing. With this knowledge you will clearly understand the mechanism of the swing and how to adjust it to extract the optimum power to increase your distance. You will also be able to critique the swings of the top players and be able to pinpoint exactly how they are able to reach the performance levels they do. The seminar consists of two parts: Part I. There are no "mysteries" to the golf swing. You will be taken through a review of the the laws of motions which will then be applied to specific areas of the golf swing. After the review you will clearly understand how power is generated in the swing and you will also understand the meaning behind much of the terminology used in golf today such as "Swing Speed", "Torque", "Moment of Inertia" and "Swing Radius". As technical as this review sounds, it is explained in very simple easy to understand terms. You will come away from this section with a whole new understanding of your golf swing, truly appreciating why working within your "natural" swing range is so important for the power you can extract from your swing. Part II This section gives you over 20 different tips you can apply to your swing that will result in increased power. We look at five areas that include the "hands", "shoulders", "trunk and left side", lower body and the "swing plane" of your swing as well as briefly touching on things you can apply when purchasing new clubs. You do not need to fully understand the technical review of "golf physics" in part I, to understand how they work. Warning: Trying to apply these techniques while swinging outside of your "natural" swing range will gain very little increase in distance. It is important that you understand the material in step 2 and step 3 before applying the concepts of this seminar. Please check your system requirements before registering for this seminar.
