How to perfect the "timing and tempo" of your swing to improve distance and accuracy Presented by: Les Ross - Director of Golf at Highlander LLC School of Golf and author of "Breaking the Distance Barrier" Time : 45 minutes Level : Specific to those scoring 89 and above Description: This seminar covers Step 3. of the 5 step series outlined in "Breaking the Distance Barrier". The seminar focuses on how to set the "rhythm" for the swing and how to achieve "timing" to control overall swing accuracy and distance control. The seminar consists of three parts: Part I. The ability to control accuracy and distance within a narrow range requires the golfer to review where they are swinging on their "capability envelope". This section defines how to control the golf swing and shows how your level of control may have been misdirected by your performance on the practice range. Part II Swing timing is impacted by the ability to coordinate the movement of the hands with the body turn. This part reviews the importance of the grip and its link with creating a stable left side. We review the grip routine to ensure your grip is giving you the optimum performance which is critical for "timing" the swing. Pat III. In the final part we describe what swing timing is and ways to achieve it. You are introduced to the concept of "trigger thoughts" that control the movement of 20 + moving parts of the swing in the correct sequence. We also show you how to set the "rhythm" for your swing based on working within your "natural" swing range. Finally, we give you a drill that determines the best distance range for each club to achieve optimum swing timing and accuracy control.
